Samannay is a socio-cultural organization of people from Assam (North-Eastern India) who have migrated to the Delhi-NCR region or are currently residing here in occupational or academic pursuit. A group of concerned enthusiasts- mostly residing in North-Western Delhi- has felt the pressing need to locate and bring under one umbrella all the people willing to rejuvenate their socio-cultural root. As a result, ‘Samannay’ was born. It came into existence on 18/10/2014, on the auspicious occasion of Kati Bihu. Samannay’s first initiative, the celebration of Bhogali Bihu on 14/1/2015, was a commendable success.
