Present activities: 
Joined AEC as lecturer in E&T Dept immediately after graduating. Completed M.E in Computer Engineering from Florida Tech in 1996 and came back to AEC. Worked as Asst. Prof in E&T till 2001. Remained in charge of both the Departments of E&T and Computer Science for a year. Moved to New York in 2001 August and completed MBA in Finance and Investment from City University of New York. Moved back to New Delhi in 2004. Joined Pipal Research (Crisil, a S&P company) as Senior Research Associate for business development research. In 2007, joined Reliance Capital. Worked as Addl. Vice president at Reliance Capital Asset Management Co Ltd handling very focused macro research for Fixed Income Investment team helping formulate investment strategies based on macro expectations. In 2014, joined Centre for Policy Research (CPR) as a Senior Researcher to lead the macro-economic research unit. I was responsible for tracking both global and domestic macroeconomic data and publishing monthly research reports along with policy oriented briefs. Some of these were subsequently published in leading economic/financial dailies in an effort to enrich the public debate and provide policy inputs. Published several Op-Eds in various newspapers like Economic Times, Financial Express, Mint, Business Standard, Assam Tribune, Deccan Herald and Business Line. The research piece ‘Indian Exports – Loss of Global Competitiveness’ was published in ‘Economic & Political Weekly’ (Vol L no 34) on August 22nd, 2015. The research report ‘TPP – Trans Pacific Partnership’ was well accepted by the Commerce Ministry, published as the primary piece in the monthly magazine of Engineering Export Promotion Council (EEPC) of India and cited in the Economic Survey 2016 of the Finance Ministry. The policy impact of one of our policy recommendations was felt when the government raised the securities transaction tax on derivatives in order to rationalise the tax structure compared to cash market and discourage retail speculations, in the General Budget in February, 2016. Presently, on sabbatical as research scholar in Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT). The broad research topic is 'Impact of macro economic variables in Bond yields'. Serving as Independent Director in the Board of SkipperSeil Limited and SV Credit Line.

Married to Kumar Sanjay Krishna, presently working as Additional Secretary in Ministry of Agriculture , Government of India. Son, Ranjay Krishna, pursuing PhD in Artificial Intelligence in Stanford University. He has double majored in Computer Engineering and Computer Science from Cornell University in his undergrad (Magna Cum Laude). Completed MS in Computer Science from Stanford University. His research was recognized as best graduate research in Stanford University in 2016. Daughter, Krishangi is a third year Bio-Medical Engineering Undergrad student in Stony Brook University in New York.
