In a rare development in Delhi NCR , three numbers of assamese books were launched in a single day on 1st October while celebrating World’s Senior Citizen Day by Biyoli Chora. These three books were Smritir Papori Butoli by Dr Neelamani Sarma, Byokti Aru Bikhoy by Hiranya Kumar Das and SadhyaRag by Sri Hironlal Dutta. Though Sri H K Das has already published a few books previously, but it was the maiden effort by Dr Nilamani Sarma and Srijt Hironlal Dutta to publish books.
In the book “Byokti Aru Bikhoy”, the author Sri Hiranya Kumar Das has described his experiences with some of leading personalities –majority are from Delhi and NCR along with his visits to some interesting places and on a few important issues. This book also contains a few poem of his wife Dr Bani Bora. Col Jiten Hazarikia , the eminent painter launched this book. The price of the book is rs 200/- and publication is Mano Publications. The book published by Dr Nilamani Sarma viz. “ Smritir Papori Butoli” is based on his real life experiences in various places including Delhi NCR. His narration on the historical background on establishment of Srimanta Sankaradeva Bhawan is praiseworthy. This book was launched by Sri Bikash Chandra Bora. The cost of the book is Rs 150/- and publication is Mallika Prakashan. The 3rd book viz. “ SandhyaRag” was authored by Sri Hiron Dutta which is a collection of 27 Nos of his self composed poems. This poetry book was launched by Sri Madan Prasad Bezbaruah. This book costs Rs 100/- which is published by Swanagiri.
